Third Fret Band
I have also started my own band for Festivals and other live Events. Our music is a high energy mixture of crowd pleasers from the fifties to current top 40 songs. Our set lists include hits from The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pat Benetar, The Pretenders, Meghan Trainor, Sia, Maroon 5, Imagine Dragons, Sugarland, and Alanis Morissette, just to name a few.
Born out of the need for a solid travel band option with Festivals and Special Events coming up in 2024, Third Fret Band is an extention of my solo show. It includes brilliantly re-arranged cover songs from multipe genres. The set list is a tribute to the original artist, but offers flashes of our own individual artistic influences thrown into the mix. The show is high energy with lights and special effects that are built into the show! I bring the music to the people with up front and personal performances and audience interaction. If you don't come out and and leave exhausted from dancing, there is something wrong with you! Rhythm of Andreas is behind the keyboards for The Third Fret Band. Andreas is a dynamic recording artist, music producer, and seasoned audio engineer that has left a mark on the Ohio music scene since the mid-1980s. Originally famed in 1988 by the band Tracer, and the album, "Traces of Humanity", that featured special guest Rick Derringer. A graduate of The Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, OH, and earned a degree in Photo and Cinematography from The Ohio State University. Andreas is a published war photographer and videographer, a combat veteran having served and retired from the U.S. Marine Corps. Rhythm of Andreas has original music readily available on most popular streaming platforms. Todd Gauthier is a phenomenal drummer with influences from all genres. He started his musical career at the age of 15 when he met a kid in highschool who was a drummer. He immediately took an interest in the drums and by the age of 16 joined his first band. Over the years, playing in the Virginia / D.C. area, Todd developed a style of his own. His original band Ominion, based out of Virginia, placed in the top three bands out of hundreds in the area during the Battle of the Bands two years in a row. Ominion released an EP shortly thereafter titled “Witness The Birth” which consisted of four of their many original songs. That EP alone sold over a 1000 records locally which at the time back in the 90’s was quite a feat. Their one song titled “Pleasure and Pain” was featured and played on DC101 which was one of the biggest rock stations in the area. PowerSurge once quoted, “You can’t always judge a book by its cover, but there is a piece of wisdom that goes, "First impressions are lasting impressions”. Todd was also written up in Pie Tasters magazine back in the 90’s “as a must see” in the music industry. At the time he was said to have some of the fastest foot work crowds had ever seen. With over a 1000 plus shows under his belt. Todd has developed his own technical power style of playing and loves more than anything to entertain and see the crowds loving the music he is playing. Ominion was together for around 4 years and their album was digitally released again in 2013 under Potomac Records. In 2001, Todd moved from Virginia up to Ohio and has been in a few cover bands including Blackhorse, Brick City and United Servants. Todd’s drumming style often consists of technical and offbeat rhythms while maintaining a power-driven energy. Todd, back in 2021, formed his own record label, Lay and Wait Records. His most recent accomplishment was helping write and produce the song titled, “Jane” under the band Rhythm of Andreas with Michael Blaha. The song took off in the charts and was #1 for two weeks in the row on Hugs at WRGG located in Pennsylvania. Todd’s years of experience in the music industry and his ability to bring new ideas into the recording and production of shows will enhance the experience of his audience in the years to come. His background in metal and ability to adaptand create, are sure to make our shows powerful and unexpected.
